A little over a year ago the idea was brought forth to have an ATV site dedicated to the adult community who are not necessarily racers, but ATV enthusiasts. This site is designed with the purpose to bring quality photos, top notch video content, and relevant news to the ATV community. We are a small, but well organized group who welcome anyone with something to add to our rapidly growing member base.
As a site, we run group rides, meet at National and local events, and share tech information. The Quadbuilder strives to provide a family-oriented community. When one of our own was injured racing, our members raised $1000 running a concession stand at an AGP event. The site has brought together like-minded individuals who want to further enjoy the ATV experience without all the excess baggage.
Our gallery includes over 7,000 images displaying everything from a weekend riding excursion to members personal builds to National and local race photos from the GNCC and WPSA and PA series. Our video content is produced with entertainment in mind. In the future we will be adding more videos directed to inform our members with interviews and how-to's. Our boards include several top riders who will give you insight into their training and ATV preparation.
Come on in, check us out and feel free to stay around. |

Sunday June 7th rolled around and the Pa State Harescrambles series would be heading to Foot of the Mountain in Neelyton, PA. The weather had been rainy all week but broke a couple days earlier making for a great track. The weather would be mid 80's and sunny with no wind, but

because of the rain dust would be minimal which was great. The turnout would be another good one. The track would consist of some cool uphills, rocky terrain, some open fields, and some tight technical areas mixed in. The starts would be split due to the turnout with the A, B, Vet and Senior class running first and the C classes, Utility, and the sport classes running after them. |

Sunday May 17th 2009 as I made the trek to Evansville MX located in Berwick, PA many thoughts ran through my mind. How are the track conditions going to be? How is the turnout going to be

since the GNCC was in PA the day before? Am I ready for this race? How well am I going to do today? We arrived at the track about 10:30 am with plenty of time to set up the QB RZR on the starting line for the adult dirtbike start. I started looking around to see how bad the kids dirtbikes were looking from running on the track. After watching several riders go through, it became apparent that yes, there would be water and mud, but it wasn't completely disgusting out there. Now for the turnout. To my surprise alot of people were here for this race including the man who won the ATV Overall the day prior, Chris Borich. I will continue on to say I was not ready for this race in the least bit. As I had to finish preparing my quad at the track. I finally got the chance to install the Schack starter button and just like his kill switch I was very impressed. |

The weekend of May 29th to May 31st Wildwood, NJ hosted the Thunder in the Sand by New Jersey Thunder Motorsports. Wildwood is a shore town in South Jersey. The course was

positioned in the sand just off the boardwalk. Spectators could not only pay to enter the pits or the stands, but also could view the festivities from the open fence area or the great view from the boardwalk. Parents were able to take the kids to Morey's Pier for a ride while still enjoying the race. The pit area and camping were situated on the ocean side with only a shore walk to the water. It was a great weekend with the sun shining and the temps in the high 80s. What a great weekend of racing in Wildwood. |

National number. I made the drive West to the Mountain Ridge ATV Park in Reels Corner, PA for this years Mountain Ridge GNCC. I arrived at the track about 7:30pm Friday and set up camp with Chris Holtry and his Dad who was nice enough to supply us with a Camper to sleep in instead of the usual tent. |

already overloaded Dodge Ram 1500. We began our 3.5 hour journey to the NECC Spring Sizzler, located in Stafford Springs, Connecticut at around 7:30 am. Our crew consisted of me, Luke Zyga (lzyga05), Hank Abrahams (MXltrracer), Tyler Kowhan (kowhan), and my friend Vikki who was tagging along to see what a harescramble race was like and to take a few pictures of the event. |

the weather brought us in Rd #1 it was a welcome change to see sunny skies and temps in the upper 80's. The crew left my house Friday morning at 6am and we arrived around 7pm at the track. With me were Racerx32, Blizzard, OnedarkRacer, and Fordfreak. Despite the long drive we all arrived and looked forward to what this track had to offer. The nice part is we were told dust would be a factor. I know nice is never a word you want to use with dust, but with the monsoon we raced in last month in Georgia the dust would be a welcome challenge. After we said our hello's to other fellow racers we settled in for the night and prepared for the day ahead. |

My personal 2008 LE LTR450 with FI will be used for the project. |
None of the new ATV products being offered today has addressed what I feel is a growing concern - the need for a kill switch that can work in a normally open configuration. Today’s quads have a more complex electrical circuitry than in the past, allowing more issues. In the past, a Pro Design kill switch could be easily grounded to the frame and be ready only making it necessary to replace that switch with every new quad you purchased. Now, with Fuel Injection available on more and more models the need for a switch that is adaptable to any configuration is more of a necessity. As an owner of both a KFX700 and an LTR450 I needed a normally closed switch, but there are currently only 2 options - purchase a Pingel kill switch or a Gunnar kill switch. Each of these options are cost prohibitive and, personally, I have had mixed results with both. |
